An Ode To The Spell Checker

An Ode To The Spell Checker

Run this through your spell checker. It’s a clever poem written by Jerrold H. Zar. It’s been floating around the web for years and years. But, this points out the importance of actually reading your copy instead of merely spell checking the text.

Ode to the Spell Checker

Eye halve a spelling chequerย

It came with my pea seaย

It plainly marques four my revueย

Miss steaks eye kin knot sea.

Eye strike a key and type a wordย

And weight four it two sayย

Weather eye am wrong oar writeย

It shows me strait a weigh.

As soon as a mist ache is maidย

It nose bee fore two longย

And eye can put the error riteย

Its rare lea ever wrong.

Eye have run this poem threw itย

I am shore your pleased two noย

Its letter perfect awl the weighย

My chequer tolled me sew.
