There was a man named George Devol. He invented something marvelous called the Speedy Weeny.

In 1946, Mr. Devol developed the first commercial use of microwave oven technology and called it the Speedy Weeny.

The Speedy Weeny automatically cooked and dispensed hotdogs in public places such as Grand Central Station. Speedy Weedy was a giant microwave oven that was “smaller than a refrigerator.”
