In the name of ratings, television weather reporting has become “weathertainment” – a little weather and a little entertainment.

According to the Urban Dictionary:

“Weathertainment is when there is so much active weather going on that a person has multiple TV’s tuned to different weather channels as to catch different weatherman’s views and opinions of what is going on across the area.”

“This is very entertaining as many weathermen get flustered and sometimes get disoriented on what is happening and where it’s happening.”
