Goofus Touches Several Cookies
Goofus first appeared in Highlights magazine in 1948. Goofus & Gallant, a cartoon featuring two contrasting boys, showed how each boy would respond in a variety of situations. Gallant is kind, but Goofus is dirty, irresponsible and rude.
