In my Illegal Art series, one of the most striking pieces is titled Evasion. It captures a man clad entirely in black, complete with a ski mask, frozen mid-stride in a running pose. The image is loaded with tension and mystery—he could be evading harm, escaping arrest, outrunning a tornado, or fleeing from something far less tangible. The ambiguity is the point.

Evasion embodies the core themes of my Illegal Art series: questioning authority, subverting the obvious, and leaving space for the viewer to interpret their own narrative. The black-clad figure could be a villain, a victim, or simply a symbol of the human instinct to survive at all costs. The anonymity of the mask makes him anyone and everyone at once, amplifying the unease and curiosity of the moment.

This work fits seamlessly into the series, which often explores the tension between visibility and concealment, legality and rebellion. Evasion invites you to consider what it means to run, to hide, and to exist on the edge of society’s watchful gaze.
