In this captivating image taken with the Leica Q3, I explored the fascinating realm of time exposure and motion photography to craft what I call “Luminous Anomalies.” By meticulously manipulating ceiling light positions and camera movement during a 10 second exposure using a vary narrow aperture, I was able to capture stunning rings of light that defy ordinary perception. The Leica Q3’s precision and low-light performance allowed me to render these glowing orbits with remarkable clarity and depth.

The interplay between motion and time transforms simple light trails into dynamic, ethereal forms, creating an illusion of floating halos suspended in space. These luminous rings embody the intersection of art and technology, where controlled chaos and creative experimentation converge. The resulting image not only highlights the beauty of light in motion but also invites viewers to ponder the unseen patterns that emerge when we stretch the boundaries of conventional photography.
