Walking down the endless corridor of memory, the geometry of a school hallway transforms into something otherworldly. The tiles on the floor, the lockers lining the walls, and the fluorescent lights above form a rigid grid of squares that seem to recede infinitely. But then, something interrupts the order: circles.

In this surreal illustration, a series of luminous, soft-edged circles float over the squared architecture, as if attempting to wedge themselves into shapes that will never quite fit. The visual tension is palpable. The hallway becomes a stage for a quiet struggle between conformity and individuality — the squares standing for structure, and the circles for curiosity, creativity, and the desire to break free from rigid boundaries.

As the perspective stretches into the distance, the circles seem to chase the vanishing point, growing smaller as they attempt to find a home in the repeating squares. The entire image evokes the sensation of a dream: familiar and unsettling, playful yet philosophical. It’s a reminder that sometimes, in the spaces we thought were completely defined, new shapes — and new ideas — can appear, bending the rules of how we see the world.

For anyone who has ever felt like a circle in a hallway of squares, this illustration is an ode to the beauty of not quite fitting in.
