Awful Food: Prawns

Prawn is the common term for large swimming crustaceans, or shrimp,  especially those with commercial significance in the seafood industry. Here are some lovely examples of prawn dishes from days gone by. Appetizing food represented by non-appetizing photos.

The names “shrimp” and “prawn” are often used interchangeably, but they are indeed different animals. There are several ways to serve prawns such as Prawns in Tomato Glaze, Tomato and Prawn Layer Salad, Prawn Cream Soup and Celery Prawn Salad.
