Presenting The FluxFilm

George Maciunas was a founding member and the central coordinator of Fluxus, an international community of artists, architects, composers, and designers. He made several short films called FluxFilms. Here are a couple of his productions ….

This FluxFilm is called 1,000 Frames and it was made in 1966. You might want to consider playing these film simultaneously for the full Fluxus effect.

Now, Fluxus fans, another FluxFilm from George Maciunas. This film is called Solo For Lips And Tongue. and it was produced in 1961 and later reprised in 1979. These two films are but a couple of playful subversions of previous art traditions for your enjoyment.
